I’m in DC this week and next, staying with my sister. It’s a beautiful out, almost too hot already, nearly 80. I’m glad to be here. Colleen has a brand new puppy named Gonzo who’s the sweetest little guy, though he came from an Amish farm and is so far terrified of the city, strangers, other dogs, me, his reflection in the oven, etc. I’m determined to become his friend before I head back to New York (then to Connecticut to pick up all my crap, then home home home to England). We got an email letting us know that my visa application is, as of this moment, sitting on somebody’s desk, and according to Lynette’s research gleaned from her various immigration Facebook groups, that means I’ll be getting my decision within two weeks (!!!!).
